Pros: sturdy durable cover for a sunny area Cons: instructions could be much clearer
"I received this parasail style sun shade about a month ago. It took two of us to get it set up and while the instructions could be much improved, it is pretty intuitive once you get the project underway. It has withstood gusty thunderstorm winds of 25 to 35 mph without a problem and created a shaded area which easily holds a round or square table and four chairs. This was the ideal answer to an unusable patio area due to unblocked sun. Somebody now needs to come up with a planter which would fit over and disguise the weatherproof sandbags which hold it firmly in place."

Pros: it moves as the sun moves! Cons: don't leave it up in high winds.
"I love my paratop shade, but I live in the midwest where thunderstorms pop up with little warning. I had my shade up & one of these storms hit & tore it to shreds. It could not take the buffeting. Usually I fold it down & we're just fine. I didn't know anything was happening until the lightening was so bad, I was afraid to climb up on my deck. So my shade got shot. I'm ordering another one right away. I love the way I can move it to shade all day long! And I can handle it by myself, don't need any help. overall, it is 'way better than an umbrella shade."

"we purchased and returned this item. it was much heavier than we had anticipated and needed quite a lot of work to set it up. we had something more portable in mind."

"I have a very sunny yard (few trees), and the Paratop was just what I needed for entertaining. A bit of a challenge to put up (especially the first time -- they're not kidding about needing 2 people), but worth it."
