Doesn't work for peach fuzz

"I couldn't make it work. I have peach fuzz on my face, and it grabbed some of it, but I had to keep working and working to get it to grab it. I ended up frustrated and went back to my tiny battery-operated shaver. It was faster. I have a sense that this works best on coarser hair."

"I've seen this item advertised before and thought it was worth a try but, in fact, it's just another gadget that ends up on the shelf or in the wastebasket. I used it several times as instructed and could feel a couple of hairs pull out. I'd die of old age before it did anything noticably effective."

"I've tried just about everything - waxing, threading, shaving, etc but by far the REM spring was the least effective of any strategy I've employed to date. Don't waste your money on this product."

Learning Curve

"This little gadget works fairly well, but it requires some practice to get it to work. It only works if you spin the coil in the correct direction. Spinning the coil faster or slower also changes it's effectiveness. And if you use is where you've been shaving - OW! But after the initial discomfort, it hurt a lot less and gets almost all the hairs, so my tweezing time is cut way down. I thought it was well worth the money."

"Love this item! I have the 'over 45 - CS (can't see) syndrome' and need reading glasses to see anything on my face. I happen to not have them with me one day, but pulled this item out and voila, sat on the bed, watching TV while I removed the microspcopic hair on my upper lip. Love this!"

"I bought this just to try it; its fabulous!!!! I was going once a week to a salon to get my upper lip and chin threaded, no more. Talk about savings, I was unable to use depilatory creams due to sensitivity on my skin and the medications I take have the unfortunate side effect of facial hair. This little beauty is an absolute marvel!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"This is a great tool to fight against the indignities of getting old; Blindness AND random dark hair growth on the chin that no one but snickering youth can see is enough to make you give up and hide. But the spring rips out any and all errant hairs whether or not YOU can see them. You should buy one for everyone over 50."

"I have found the R.E.M. Spring to work the best of any product I have previously used, and I have tried almost everything. It works exceptionally well on the upper lip. I am a woman of a certain age, as they say and my skin is not taunt on my chin and neck line. Therefore, this product does not work well in those areas for me. I continue to use a lotion on those areas. What I love most about the R.E.M Spring is there is absolutely no irritation to my skin and the process is rather quick. Also, the hairs do seem to grow back more slowly. Try it. I think you'll love it."

"I love this. I have had threading done and it works the same way, but I can do this myself at home. For the people that say it does not work, read the directions that come with it. If it does not work, it is not being used correctly. Very Easy to use. I am online getting a few more as back up."
